Shelley and I have just returned from Carbondale, Colorado (near Aspen) where we performed two nearly sold out shows at the recently opened Thunder River Theater. For Saturday night's show we had a great crowd of mostly adults who really went out of their way to let us know how much they enjoyed the show. Sunday's matinee perfomance was geared for younger audiences and we again had a great crowd and almost sold out again.
I was really impressed with Lon Winston's (the theater's artistic director) efforts to make evething go off withought a hitch and to promote the show so well to the Carbondale and Aspen communities.
I of course invited a magician or two from the Aspen, Colorado area (and the Roaring Fork Valley) to the shows and a couple of good friends made it out as well as my Uncle who lives near Aspen.
We have been invited back next year and look forward to seeing the crowds at the Thunder River Theater again soon!
